Powertrain and Performance
Every 2019 Toyota Corolla is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder DOHC 16-valve engine with Dual Variable Valve Timing with intelligence. This engine is paired with either a six-speed manual transmission or a Continuously Variable Transmission with Intelligent Shift. This engine cranks out 132 horsepower (140 in the ECO model) and 128 lb-ft of torque (126 in the ECO model). At its most efficient, the Corolla achieves 7.8 L/100km in the city and 5.9 L/100km on the highway.*
The interior of the 2019 Toyota Corolla caters to your comfort, with high-density foam-padded seats available in sporty SofTex® fabric. Heated seats are perfect for Canada’s chilly mornings, and available 60/40 split rear seats greatly simplify cargo management. Drivers have easy access to the standard 6.1-inch touch-screen display audio with Bluetooth® capability, AM/FM radio, USB input, and more. A 7-inch screen is available, and you can also control the system via steering wheel-mounted controls.
The most important aspect of the new 2019 Toyota Corolla is its many safety features. Every Corolla comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense™ P, which includes Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, and Automatic High Beams. The Corolla also boasts eight standard airbags and the Star Safety System™, which includes a range of features like Traction Control and Smart Stop Technology.
